The Clean Energy Project is an online magazine which reports about growth, opportunities and solutions in the environmental technology and renewable energy sector. Coverage includes stories from research, science, business, non-profit and individuals from across the globe which highglight achievements with in the renewable energies, energy efficiency and climate protection fields. The CleanEnergy Project is read by journalist, businesses, multipliers, researchers and experts from the above disciplines, in Germany and around the world.This portal was made possible thanks to the cooperation between the U.S. ecologist Dr. Maiken Winter, a Climate Project speaker who was trained by Nobel Price Laureate Al Gore, as well as numerous scientists, journalists and businesses who advocate the growth of renewable energies. The concept was developed by the communications agency GlobalCom PR Network, the design and technical development were donated by the design agency Seitenweise. About Dr. Maiken Winter

Maiken Winter is an ornithologist, author and speaker who currently lives in Munich and who is one of the most active scientists in Germany to promote climate protection nationally and internationally. After having studied biology at the university of Tübingen, Germany, Maiken Winter started a PhD program at the University of Missouri, Columbia in 1994, from which she graduated in 1998. Since then, she has been living with her husband and her two children in Ithaca, Cornell, where she works at the Lab of Ornithology and where she studied the ecology and protection of prairie birds. In April 2007, Maiken Winter was trained by Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Al Gore and his Climate Project team and since then dedicated her time exclusively to the study of climate change and climate protection. Maiken has given more than 100 lectures on the subject, has created a global network of supporters and friends and has authored a Climate Change Wiki. Her strongest hope with regards to the CleanEnergy Project is to respond to insecurities and misinformation about climate change and to activate politics, business and citizens to step up for a sustainable and worthwhile future.In addition to her activities for the CleanEnergy Project, Maiken is currenlty developing a train-the-trainer program for teachers, FACT, which empowers teachers to speak about climate change with up-to-date, scientifically sound information at their hands.Contact: maiken@cleanenergy-project.com
